Jeremiah and Marcie Olson are the soulful acoustic rock duo “40 miles North”. Their rich vocal harmonies and compelling lyrics invite listeners along on a faith journey marked by questions, comfort, and unquenchable praise.
We just got confirmation that 40mN will be the opening act for Nicole C. Mullen on Sunday night, July 20th at 6:30pm for the Youth For Christ Vespers Service at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair. We’ll be sharing the main stage that week with the likes of Pat Benatar, Kellie Pickler, Little Big Town, and Hootie and the Blowfish.
Grandstand seating is FREE with Gate Admission. Track seating is only $10/ticket. Come on out and join us for a great night of music and praise!

Mission trip to China

Small groups
Church meetings
Mission field in Argentina
… and the list keeps growing (and it’s not even *out* yet!)
more updates coming soon!
We are now getting started on a new project- a CD of small-group worship designed specifically for short-term missions teams going around the world. We are so excited about the worldwide impact this resource will have! Every year thousands of small teams head out from different places in the US to travel to locations around the world. Most teams don’t have the luxury of having a worship-leader along, and many places it’s impossible to pack an instrument into. And yet these teams still need to be led in worship, and God is giving us an opportunity, through this recording, to become the worship leaders for hundreds and hundreds of people on short-term teams. These tracks can be loaded onto an ipod and taken anywhere in the world! What a huge opportunity! We are looking to raise about $2500-3000 to create this resource, and could really use your help! If you’d like to make a tax-deductible contribution to help us make this worship CD, visit our support page now!
We made it back from an awesome ministry trip to Thailand where we led worship for a gathering of missionaries from all over Asia. Take a pic-by-pic tour HERE!
It’s done! 20 weeks ago we went into the studio to begin recording “Incarnation”. This has been one of the more difficult projects we’ve tackled, with 2 young kids and an already busy ministry schedule. That said, we are SO HAPPY to announce the upcoming release of this CD- we will get 1,000 copies on our doorstep by Thanksgiving, and will have our release concert Friday, Dec. 1st at Grace Community Church in Goshen. (See dates page for details). We will also be offering discounted pre-release copies in a matter of days. The concert is a joint venture with the Boys and Girls Club of Goshen, with all ticket sales going to the Club. We have a goal to raise $4000 in one night for them, so tell all your friends and get them to the concert. Ticket details coming soon (again, see dates page for details).
40 miles North has accepted an invitation to lead worship for a week in Cha’am, Thailand Dec. 27-Jan 3rd. Jeremiah and Marcie are preparing for the trip by securing passports, booking flights, and raising financial support to cover the cost of this trip. This is a direct answer to prayer, and a huge opportunity to encourage missionaries from all over the continent of Asia.
Jeremiah has a new guitar! God is so nice to us… read about it in the blog section.
We are putting the finishing touches on the writing for our current project- a Christmas album titled “INCARNATION”, releasing this coming Christmas season. We will hit the studio on July 10 to begin recording and producing, again with Larry DeVincent of Samsson Productions (www.samssonproductions.com). That’s right, folks! It’s Christmas in July!
A special welcome to you, our very first visitors to the all-new 40milesnorth.com! Over the last several weeks, this site has been on the operating table, being retouched and retooled by the Limey Brit himself, Andrew Duncalfe (www.tlbdesign.com)! We’re thrilled with the results! Check out all the site’s new functions and furnishings, and email us to let us know what you think.
